Google Earth

Google Earth is a map viewer with almost every points of this planet. You can change the visualization angle, position and zoom, from entire globe to street level! And that's not all, you are able to search for places of interest, with information and metadata, and the capability to switch on/off the different map layers available (streets, places, 3D maps, roads, borders and labels, etc).

Google Talk

Google Talk 1.0 is an instant messaging client for Windows. Additionally, it offers free PC-to-PC voice calls, the ability to send and receive voicemails (If the person you're calling isn't available), file transfers, and gmail notifications on your desktop for new messages in your email inbox.

Google Desktop

Google Desktop 5.1 by Google helps users search in their PCs with the same power that the Google web site search engine provides. This application can be used to search text within e-mail messages, files, music, photos, stored chat files, etc., stored in your local machine. The sidebar helps organize Favorites, Notes, Unread email and it even provides Time, Weather and Recent News.

Google Updater

Google updater is wonderful and handy application to download programs from Google Pack. The program downloads automatically when you want to install any application from Google Pack and guides you to the whole installation process. With this program you can also monitor the status of your installation, run the software that has been installed on your computer and uninstall the programs.

Google Chrome

Google Chrome is a new browser that is trying to change the old fashined way internet browsers look alike. All the new versions of browsers are just a remake of older ones with not many new features. Google Chrome, offers a new flexible way to surf and organize bookmarks easier and friendlier. I invite everibody to try it.

Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer

Google Toolbar is an add-on for your browser. Toolbar features: Add gadgets to your Toolbar to view your favorite content from any site. Fill out web forms with a click and even keep multiple profiles, with improved AutoFill. Access your Toolbar from any computer by saving your settings online. Clip content as you browse the web with Google Notebook, now integrated with Toolbar.

Google Toolbar for Firefox

The toolbar has many of the features of the Internet Explorer version but also has some features of its own. My favorite new feature is the ability to drag a file on your browser and it automatically add it to Google Docs & Spreadsheets, the supported file types include; doc, rtf, odf, sxw, cls, ods, and csv.

Google Photos Screensaver

Google Photos Screensaver 6.0 is a wonderful screen saver that allows you to display pictures from the web, PC, web albums and photo feeds. Instead of having just a blank screen or just one picture as a screen saver, with Google Photos Screensaver you can have many pictures as a slide show that changes every few seconds and acts as a screen saver after a time interval set by you on your computer.

Google Video Player

Google Video Player is a freeware media player that allows you to watch videos downloaded from Google Video website. It gives the opportunity to watch different videos online in full screen mode as well as browse video scenes using thumbnails. You can easily jump from one scene in the video to another which goes afterwards, even if that piece of video has not been downloaded yet.

Google Gmail Notifier

Gmail Notifier is a freeware by Google. It notifies the user about every new mail he/she receives. It is packed inside gmailInstaller.exe which is a 292kb file certified by google.com. It is compatible with the operating systems Windows 2000 and Windows Xp.

Google Gears

Google Gears is an open source browser extension that lets developers create web applications that can run offline. Gears provides three key features: a local server, a database and a worker thread pool. Google Gears is currently an early-access developers' release. It is not yet intended for use by real users in production applications at this time.

Google Desktop Plugin - Google Earth

The two basic tasks that perform this tool are: indexing and searching content in Google Earth files, and flying to a place mark that matches your search query. This way, you get to integrate the two applications simplifying the routinely tasks. This cool plug-in is available for free.

Google Talk, Labs Edition

Google Talk Labs Edition is a wonderful instant messaging program. It has almost the same features as the Google Talk Gadget, such as instant messaging, emoticons, and group chat. The application also comes with new desktop notifications from Calendar, Orkut, and Gmail.

Google Video Uploader

Google Video Uploader allows you to upload your videos to Google Videos. The application is quite simple, but it helps you a lot if you are tired for any reason of the web interface or it just doesn't work for you. When you download and execute the application for the first time, it will ask you to provide a valid google videos account. I used my gmail account and it worked just fine.

Google Calendar Sync

Google Calendar is rather a nice and useful thing. You create events and appointments edit and look them through. Also you can create several calendars at once, add the calendar of your friend, invitations and search events in public calendars. You also learn the weather forecast here. And the main advantage of the Google Sync Calendar is synchronization with Microsoft Outlook.
